The summarising conference took place as part of the 7th Symposium “Ecosystem services in transdisciplinary approach”. 

A unique summary of the project results was the session “Services provided by the main types of ecosystems – an applied approach”. During the event, the research teams from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research compared state-of-the-art in Norway and Poland after the project finalisation. Then, there was a panel discussion with representatives of the project contractors. An inspiring plenary debate on the implementation of ecosystem services developed around the panellists’ statements. 

During the summarising conference, the book “Ecosystem services in the management of natural systems” was presented, in which leading Polish research teams presented the state of research on the practical use of ecosystem services. As one of the project results, the publication will support administration representatives and expert practitioners in introducing ecosystem services into environmental planning and management processes.
