The workshop was attended by representatives of national, regional and local administration and non-governmental organizations interested in valuing the economic benefits of various types of ecosystems. 

After an introduction to the economic value and methods of assessing it, the workshop organizers presented the results of case studies on the recreational services of forests and selected regulating services of urban green areas. In the next part of the workshop, the participants discussed the possibilities of practical use of measuring the economic values of ecosystem services.​
