The workshop participants were stakeholders involved in managing freshwater ecosystems at national, regional and local levels.
Workshop topics included the role of mapping and assessing ecosystem services in programming activities; project results on freshwaters; maps as data sources on ecosystem services; and Norwegian experiences in mapping and assessing freshwater services. While working on the case study, workshop participants identified bundles of freshwater ecosystem services and critical areas for their protection.
